Impact Snapshot:
Addressing Food Needs: Despite nationwide challenges, The Well on MastersRoad distributed an impressive 821,314 pounds of food (equivalent to 684,920 meals) to 22,948 local families through weekly distributions last year. Despite a 21% decrease in food availability, we remained steadfast in our commitment to serving our community's nutritional needs.
Expanding Partnerships: Our collaboration with a local grocery store in November exemplifies our dedication to overcoming challenges. Through the generosity of businesses, organizations, and individuals, we continue to provide crucial support to our community.
Empowering Communities: In addition to our own community, we are partnering with the Flathead Indian Reservation in Montana, we facilitated programs promoting gardening, food sovereignty, and addiction recovery ministry. We are committed to exploring further opportunities to uplift these communities.
Supporting Families: Initiatives like our 3rd Annual Diaper Day provided essential supplies to over 238 mothers, distributing over 70,000 diapers, wipes, and other necessities. Additionally, our 7th Annual Back 2 School Bash equipped 1,000 students with backpacks, school supplies, and clothing, ensuring they return to school with confidence and support from their community.
Fostering Community Engagement: By sponsoring events like the Fall-Free-for-All and participating in GATGAT (Get a Turkey, Give a Turkey) weekend, we provided families with essential resources, food, and memorable experiences, enriching their lives and strengthening community bonds.
Empowering Single Mothers: Ending the year on a high note, our sponsorship of Cars for Christmas gifted four cars to single women and moms, removing transportation barriers and empowering them to overcome obstacles in the new year.
What's next?
Looking to 2024, we look forward to serving even more people. To do this we are looking to add staff, lease a warehouse and cast vision for a clinic, playground and school in our community.
